Hi, I'm newbie in Photoshop and I'm working on T-shirts designs. Does anybody know how to create this distressed, worn out like look as is on the picture?

Thank you

Use a layer mask and paint away parts with various brushes to get the effect you want.

If you'd want the easy, quick and fast way, you should look into buying Mister Retro's Machine Wash Deluxe. It's a plugin which let's you use textures in an easy way to erode, distress and even colour your designs.

As I know not everybody 'likes' paying for additional features to Photoshop:
- Create a layer mask
- Alt + Click the layer mask thumbnail and past in a texture
- Ctrl + L to bring up the levels panel, now bring the right hand slider a lot to the left and the left and slider a tiny bit to the left.
- Click the thumbnail of the layer with the design again.
- Click the layer mask thumbnail and paint with white to show and with black to hide using your brushes to tune the effect to your liking.
