I hope I'm posting in the correct forum.

Here is what I'm trying to do. I have a vertical checkerboard image I'd like to manipulate. It's a vertical rectangle and I'd like to cut a wedge out of the bottom so it will look more "medieval"...like a banner or tuxedo tails. Is there a way to invert a crop selection. I can get the exact shape of the wedge with the crop tool by rotating the selection into a diamond shape, but that crops everything but the wedge. I want to remove the wedge and retain the rest.

I hope that makes sense.
