Hi am editing photos of jewellery. I want the background to be pure white, but I don't want to make it look fake, so I want to keep the shadows.

so creating a path and deleting the background does not work (even if i add a drop shadow)

fiddling with the curves, levels and contrast does not work cause although the jewellery and shadows look great, the do not fade to pure white (or can they?)

any ideas?

thanks
