Recently my CC PS was updated and the "Save for Web" option under the "File" menu disappeared. Where did it go?

Hello and welcome, Sabia. :)

Check under File > Export. Save for Web is being de-emphasized as Adobe wants people to focus on the Export As workflows. You can read more here: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2015/06/save-for-web-in-photoshop-cc-2015.html
