Hi all! I'm new to these boards and quite new to the world of photoshop, but I was wondering if you could help me with an issue that's been frustrating me today :)

I made a simple quote graphic on photoshop (just a colored background with text over it.) It looks fine in photoshop, exactly how I want it. But then I upload it to dropbox (so I can access it on my iPhone) and then upload it to Instagram from there, and the quality has totally decreased. It looks grainy around the edges of the text (not smooth like in Photoshop) and just not the way I want it. I've tried resizing it every which way, as I know Instagram compresses images, but I have had no luck. I've also tinkered with the color profile (so I'm working in RGB) after reading some articles that advised that. Still looks bad when uploaded on VSCO or Instagram!

Like I've said, I'm very new at this and I'm sure there's a simple solution that I just don't know of. If any of you have any ideas, I'd appreciate it :)

What's your resolution set to? I always go for at least 200 for good quality text and picture

Even with a resolution of 200, it still comes up on my VSCO grid looking low quality, with lots of grain around the letters Frown

I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like once uploaded. When in photoshop, it looks much much smoother than that.
