I want to create a "bump" or "touch" plate to expand the gamut of a CMYK image. I'm starting with an RGB image (think man wearing orange safety vest) and I would like to add and extra channel for when the image is in CMYK mode so that the orange vest will have a special orange ink added to it to boost its color when it is printed offset. The rest of the image will still be just CMYK. So, instead of just CMYK the image will be CMYKO. Any ideas/tips on how to create that 5th plate/channel in PhotoShop CC?
