Hi guys, whenever I 'cut' and image to a new layer using a selection, for some reason PS seems to destroy its quality, add some transparency or what not.

Here two examples:





(the other is attached)

Pls I need to continue my tutorials so need help asap

It appears that you are making a feathered selection. Check your settings.
