PS Elements 9 Content and Effects panels are empty

PS Version: Photoshop Elements 9
OS: OS X 10.6.8

Posted: Mon Nov 16, 2015 11:41 am Post subject: PS Elements 9 Content and Effects panels are empty

I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8. When I go into PSE 9, there is nothing in the right-side panels. I can find the .asl folders but I don't know why they aren't showing up and I need them for a project. Anyone able to help?
