I have taken a photograph of a scene on my 42inch HDTV. The general quality seems ok but there are diagonal bands visible throughout, presumably from the screen itself. I have tried using the median filter which helps, but does anyone have any other ideas for removing the bands?

Try using a fournier routine:
Here's one for you
http://home.planet.nl/~ber03728/4N6site/improc/fftplugin/howto.htm
You run the filter once , look at the channels (usually blue or green) cover up the dots with a black brush and then making sure you are on the RGB channel run the Filter once more. Should clear up any repeating elements such as canvas texture etc..
Shout out if you need any help in using it. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
