Hi,
Is there a way to set up a default or favorite folder in PS (CS4)?

I'm working with many files from different folders and want to save them in a specific folder. so every time i have to navigate to this folder; what a waste of lifetime!!!

i know that some programs do have this function (fruity loops...)

What operating system are you using?

I'm pretty sure CS4 doesn't have it, but the Mac OS X (from 10.3 onwards) has the ability to do just that, and Photoshop picks up on it as it's just a standard Open or Save dialog.

Maybe someone can chime in for XP/Vista? They should have something similar...

Hey Rob,

Sorry this has taken so long, maybe you've even figured out how to do this by now, but if you haven't, what you're looking for is called the "Places Bar". These are preset locations you can navigate to when saving or opening a file.

Here's how to edit them (using a free app is the easiest way)
