I'm sure this is pretty easy but I was wanting to split a picture into multiple sections. I didn't know how to get everything exact and without guessing. For example, I want to split a pic into 4 parts and then enlarge each section to 8x10 and frame them separately to create a large version. I am using CS2.

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

Hit Ctrl+R (should show the rulers along the top and left sides)

Select the Move tool (v)

Click on one of the rulers and drag what is known as a guide onto the image. When you get near the center of the image it will "snap" to the exact center (as long as your images are an even number of pixels wide and high).

Click on the other ruler and drag another to the center.

Should have what looks like a big crosshair in the middle of your image that splits it into 4 equal parts.

Now select the rectangular marquee tool. Starting at the center point of the guides, click and drag to one of the corners.

Hit Ctrl+C, Ctrl+N, OK, Ctrl+V

Go back to original and repeat until you have all 4 parts in new documents.

Hope it helps
Dave
