Greetings,

I have been totally frustrated with print quality from my Epson 2200 using OS X, CS, ColorSync, etc. The level of wasted ink and paper making test runs is simply unacceptable. The standard print drivers, I assume, are the weak link in the chain. How crucial is RIP s/ware to good prints? They're terribly expensive (ie, RIP drivers), is there another way?

Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated. Thanks!

Bill
