I am trying to use PS as an aid to painting.

I have a swatch of artists oil colours. I do not fully understand swatches.

Is it possible to :-

1. Automatically change the colours of a picture to match those in the swatch?

2. To make filters use only the colours in the swatch?

Thanks, I'm fairly new to all this.

CS4 Vista 64bit

PS Judging by the huge response, it appears I asked a silly question!

Hi Meditek,

Your questions are not silly, but general. There are numerous ways to simulate oil painting effects or certain colors, and non of them are done very easily. Perhaps if you can tell us what you'd like to accomplish specifically, we can help you all the better.
