HI, Im stuck i have been working on something for sooo long and I cant find any answers online..so if anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated!

Im trying to create an old type retro label with the different layers of the actual border.

Now I get a custom shape then select with the wand tool, new layer, then modify-contract to make my selection smaller than the last..the problem im having is that the shape is distorting and isnt copying the semi circle parts exact..they look all buckled!

what am i doing wrong...Its driving me nuts.

Is there a simple way to making the borders perfect.

Is it because the custom shape is bad quality????

thanks any help is appreciated.

Custom shapes are in effect vector shapes, although it sounds like you are rasterizing the final shapes, by selecting with the wand. Instead duplicate the shape layer and transform that new layer. Think that should work.
