Hi,
I registered with these forums because i have a question that needs answering, being a rational person myself i know the answer, i just need some confirmation.
I havent used PS in a long time, but i am a member of a few forums and the users there believe they have a full understanding of something they dont, they tend to believe what really isnt there.
For example, if a picture is posted of a star for example, one of its members will use photoshop to zoom into the object and apply certain filters, now the effects of these filters gives the user the impression they are seeing a hidden 'forcefield' around a particular object when certain filters are applied.
Can i confirm that ps is a photo 'editing' software for making pretty pictures, posters and textures for games? and that it is NOT an analysis tool which can show 'forcefields', magneticfields or infra-red objects etc.
Perhaps for the latter you would need a camera with special equipment and lenses to see such things, but with an ordinary picture, using photoshop with not show these things.
Would i be correct in this assumption?
I believe these people are getting this idea from ps extended, which i know can be used to analyse a photo to show distances (? is this correct?) or something along those lines and that it does 'not' show anything not previously in the picture?
Thanks |
