I am trying to create an action for distorting images that will be printed on a curved surface. I have straight beginning grid (A) and a curved ending grid (B). I want to create an action that will distort A to fit perfectly with B. I tried many ways to do this in Illustrator (the images I use have to be vector) but with no luck. The one tool in illustrator I've used, envelope distort, will not save as an action. The Warp tool in Photoshop is very similar, but not as precise. It would be much easier if when using the Warp tool, I was able to increase the number of columns and rows. Is there any way to do this? Or can anyone think of another method to acheive this distortion action?
I'll attach an image of the two grids. The blue is A and the green is B.
Thanks.
