Question 1.
I have PS v12 and am trying to learn it I'm an old PSP user and have got so used to the "Copy and Paste" and I can't find it in PS.

Question 2.
What I also find confusing is that in PSP I can have seveal images open at the same time and scale them down to get more images if need be on the PSP work area. Im sure Photoshop must be ble to do this but for the life of me I can't find that option, can any one explain to me how I can achieve this.

I like what I read wat photoshop can do but to me it seems awrfully complex for the most simle jobs.

I have read helpfiles till Im blue in the face. I realy need it explained to me step by step

TIA

For the copy and paste options, they're under the "edit" menu. However, if you need, you can use the keyboard. For copy: use CTRL+C, and for paste: use the CTRL+V. On Mac, use the Command C, Command V.

As for opening several images at one time, I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to, but I do it by going to the folder I want, click on one image, then hold the CTRL key down to select as many others as I want.

Thanks darklight for responding (your the only person who did)

Prior to receiving your post I fiddled for several hours to try and do the cut and paste.

I am familiour with the "For copy: use CTRL+C, and for paste: use the CTRL+V."

I am writing his incase other newbees have the same problem.

What you did not mention and neither could I find specific referance to was that
BEFORE you can copy you must select either the full image or the part you wish to copy

Then you can use the CTRL+C, and for paste: use the CTRL+V. from the keyboard

and the COPY selection then comes into focus in the edit menu.

This is what was confusing me, I could not find the instruction to select the image
with "Rectangular Marquee tool"

What I ment by having several images open at the same time (HAVE NOT FIGUED THIS ONE OUT YET)
is that if you select say four images, I would like them all to be open on the main layout.
so as I can compair them.

Currantly if I open 4 or 6 images they create tabs in the design menu bar and to view each image I must
select the appropriate tab.

Is it possible in Photoshop to display several images AT THE SAME TIME If so I would appreciate
some pointers

Thanks

Go to Window>Arrange>Tile

Play with all these options to get what you want. Optionally, you can just drag the tabs out from the top and they will float.
