I found a picture that I would really like to use as my wallpaper, but the problem is that its resolution is 1024 x 768. My desktop's resolution is set at 1680 x 1050 and when I try to have set it as my wallpaper in stretch mode, it's a little bit blurry. Does anyone know how I can enlarge it in photoshop and keep it looking sharp?

Here is the wallpaper I want to use: http://www.wincustomize.com/Preview.aspx?Source=Guiam/wallpapers/26869.jpg |

to change the resolution in PS go to Image>Image size. and make sure "constrain porportions" is checked. then just change the size. Or you can create a 1680x1050 document and paste the pic into that, and just resize it via the free transform (ctrl+t)

the only problem is that its still going to be pixelated/blurry)

try creating the document size of 1680x1050, make sure the image is centered, and add to the gray-like background. Just use the clone stamp and healing brush to blend it. this will keep the image sharp, and make it the size you want. _________________ www.kg-studios.com |

One thing you could try is enlarging it in steps, some people claim it gives better results than doing it all at once, the popular one is about 10% steps at a time (personally I can't see any difference myself) Wayne |
