hi,
i think what is happening is the original has a a certain aspect ratio.. and the new number your punching in are a different ratio... end result stretch... for example if the image is a 1:1 ratio (let say 600x600) and then you resize and have a numbers of 300x100 well that appx 3:1 ratio and that image will look stretched...!!
now what you can do.... hopefull others will probably have a better idea... but what you might do if with the orginal image, alittle crop where the results will give the ratio you need so that the resize will be ok or resize close enough to your numbers and then crop to the exact numbers you need...
