You could start from scratch but if you want a quick result, just disable the drop shadow on the shape.
Good luck dude. Big Wink

Use rulers/guides or a grid or align tool.
You can use Image-Trim to remove transparent pixels. then you end up with a perfect square background with the circle enclosed in it.

ah ok . what i mean by circle dead centred because wen i am rotating it to save each frame there is a slight bulge on one of the edges cos the circle is slightly off line by 1 or 2 pixels which is noticetable when its spinning .

gawd think al stick to coding lol

Yeah, if you are rotating the placeholder, you want your circle dead centre.
What animation programme are you using?

I think whats happening is that you are rotating the whole placeholder and button when you should be rotating the button within it.
You need to select the button not the placeholder, in the layers pallete, and rotate that.
The jumpiness would stop.
Click on the shape layer, press ctrl T and rotate it, not the whole square.

You need to flatten the image first.
At the top in the menu bar...
Layer/ Flatten Image

found a different way .

using ctrl T selects the text and i can rotate it.

am just having probs with saving the layer with the text being moved.

how do i save that as a layer so i can then do it again and make a few layers then i can use the animation in photoshop .
