So I have this picture I took at a wedding of the bride and groom's cake and I'm trying to duplicate the shadow on the left. Is there a method to give the fade a kind of splotchy look like on the left side? Here's what I got from my attempt...

Why not duplicate the left hand side and then use a bit of touching up to get a uniform but not symmetrical result. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Well I thought about that but honestly I'd really like to learn how to create that effect to use in future photos! I think it's unique and pretty cool looking. |

Hermit gave me the idea to duplicate pic onto another layer, flip it horizontally, and then use layer mask matte. No touching up needed with fuzzy brush |
