I recently bought a new scanner that has provsions for scanning negatives ( film). Strangely enough it turned out, as if I [ut the film on the flatbed scanner surface and scanned.

In any case, I scanned a stip of film and tried to process it in Photoshop to get the positive but failed. I tried inverting the scanned negative but all I got was shades of cyan.

I have attached a single picture negative straight out of the scanner, actually I only cropped it.

How do I turn this negative to a picture? |

I am not really sure what happened but I think you are doing it the right way and possibly the negative is old and sun damaged.

You can actually see faint colors besides cyan in your image they are just really weak.

Anyway here is a bit of a guide from someone who seems to know a bit more about it .

You might also want to try a fresher negative if you have one. |
