For some reason the Hardness setting option is not allowing me to even click on this. Any ideas? TIA!

I have a pattern I have created. I would like to add a piece of wood behind this pattern to give it some dimension how do I add it and have it show through the pattern? TIA!

I am trying to fill a custom shape with a color. It is a circle with a star in the middle. I can change the circle but the middle remains white-I want to fill it with another color. TIA!

I am wondering how to go about using a shape to create a pattern? I have been able how to create a pattern using brushes. Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA
