Hi,
I've just recently started using photoshop. Im keen on using Arabic writtings when I ever I create a picture, for exmaple.
Yeasterday I was creating a picture, when I copied and pasted arabic words on the pic..... they came out reversed! Is there a solution for this?
I use photoshop adobe cs2 (just incase there are more versions!)
Thank you guys. |

It's still not working. All it does is that it turns it upsidedown. Or moves it up or down the picture. But it dosen't reverse the word. |

Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal doesn't work?
Hmm...
Try rasterizing the text first (Layer>Rasterize>Type). Then for certian the flip horizontal transform will work. |

not working again. The word is coming out disjointed. in other words... they are coming out as letters which are apart from each other(they should be joined), not just a reversed word. |

Wow, that's weird.
I think the problem is that Arabic is read from right to left and the computer is too stupid to understand that. The same thing happens if I paste it into Word. I was thinking that there might be some way to create it in word and then paste it properly into PS. If you have word, search help for 'Arabic' and all sorts of stuff comes up - particularly things about setting up your computer for it.

You may have to have the type set proffessionaly by an 'all language' typesetting firm. I did stationary once for sheep exporter to the Middle East and that's what I used.
There must be way to set this sort of type on western computers after all Arabic countries use computers.
