I'm seeing adds that boat SLR cameras of 36 MPix if not more. Will Photoshop be able to manipulate a 36Mpix image properly? |

According to wiki a PSD file has a maximum height and width of 30,000 pixels, which is 900MP I think.

Your computer being able to work with a file that size is another story. |

I've used 15000 x 15000 (225MP) for some comps that needed camera movement (later editted with After Effects), worked fine.

Just applying some effects will take Photoshop longer the higher the resolution, hence editing high res images on lower end PCs might horrible wait times. _________________ Bart J.A.H. de Brouwer |

I think the points above are very relevant. It's more likely that your computer processor melts down before Photoshop gives up the ghost.

				Thank you for your replies.

Good to know that Photoshop is very capable at dealing with high resolution images. |
