hey hey, i woulda said safari but the question was ie or firefox

i prefer safari in the sense that ie sux for mac and also "camino" mac's firefox isn't cool enough, its just another problem when your designing a page to be compliant in another browser

its always personal preference to a degree but adding more and more browsers is a pain at times, mac doesn't have to worry about spyware

heres another thing i dont like about firefox
if im using a program (like yahoo) that needs to open a browser window, it doesnt open a new window in safari instead it takes whatever window is already open and makes it go to that url

Well that's how things work I think. If my last active browser window was IE and I click a link from my email, it will use that IE window even though Firefox is my default. Is that what you're saying?

no what i mean is

in the past with IE, if i was using say ahoo messenger, and i wanted to look at a profile, it would open a brand new window to shpw me the profile, but with firefox it takes a preexisting window and makes it go to that URL

Actually you can choose to open in an existing tab or in a new window in FF.
