I wasn't throwing dirt, I can tell knowledge when I come across it, apparently I was being snotty ;)

In truth I was probably being just slightly cosseted and ahemm, erm sensitive :)

Sometimes we delve into really complex solutions while not realizing that a simple solution is right in front of us.

In the attached image I did not "iron" it with the any of the complex solutions you offered, I used the humble Gaussian blur filter. I agree that the gaussian blur will not work if I try to iron material that has a clear printed pattern on it, but I think for the case at hand simple blurring did the job.

So we can see, it would be even more apparent at a larger size though.
