Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help,
I'm an illustrator and only really just started using Photoshop for anything past basic colouring because I usually prefer vector lines and only just brought a tablet.
When I start a new picture in photoshop it's always the same set up for it, 1500x1000 and 150 dpi, It's a good middle ground for me and the workspace is always easily expandable. That's all fine.
My problem,
Is the new document itself, I usually get so carried away with what ever I'm thinking at the time I forget to reset the BG layer and never start a new transparent one to work on, I always just end up drawing half the construction onto the background layer which I don't want to do.
I would like
To know if anyone knows if I can set PS to start a new document with a one white layer and a blank layer to work on straight from the word go. My dad mentioned that once upon a time he just replaced a temp file somewhere and it changed what I was looking for, But it's been a handful of years since he had to use photoshop in such a way and doesn't quite remember. |
