I downloaded a trial version of photoshop to see how hard it is . I need to see if the problem im having is me or a bad download (download was from adobe website) when i pick an image from my computer and select open with photoshot, when it opens the image is completely black but the pic show in the layers box. how do i see the pic and be able to edit the image ?

Hi, The first thing to try is to reset preferences.Start up Photoshop then immediately hold down ctrl/shift/alt.You should see a box come up asking if you want to delete your preferences file;click"yes". This will probably solve the problem. If you don't see the box come up, close down PS and try again. It can be a bit tricky so you may have to try several times.
