I am writing text on a picture of a road, and theres a bump I want to write text on it. How can I make the text take the curve of the bump?

Also how do I distort or add an effect to the text somehow to make look as if it was taken with a low-res camera?

hi,
every image is different and techniques can change accordingly ...

however the basic you can use your pin tool
here a tutorial on it... http://www.createblog.com/photoshop-tutorials/510-curved-text-with-the-pen-tool/

you may need to use the distort tool afterwards to help give proper perspective

I don't quite know the effect that you are pitching for, but it sounds a little like a displacement map.

Try This for size. It should give you the principle so you can adapt to suit.

Oh and welcome to the forum.

Or you might be looking for 'text on a path' or 'text in a shape'? A google search should yield lots of tutorials.

To make just the text look "low-res" or gritty you might need to "rasterize layer" first (or make a copy of it and rasterize that). You can then dab it with a grungy brush or add a bit of blur/noise.

If you need more help, just ask (feel free to post a picture). Good luck, sounds like a fun project.

Thanks, Jerry! I had a similar question and that tutorial helped a lot.
