I am writing text on a picture of a road, and theres a bump I want to write text on it. How can I make the text take the curve of the bump?
Also how do I distort or add an effect to the text somehow to make look as if it was taken with a low-res camera? |

I don't quite know the effect that you are pitching for, but it sounds a little like a displacement map.
Try This for size. It should give you the principle so you can adapt to suit.

Or you might be looking for 'text on a path' or 'text in a shape'? A google search should yield lots of tutorials.
To make just the text look "low-res" or gritty you might need to "rasterize layer" first (or make a copy of it and rasterize that). You can then dab it with a grungy brush or add a bit of blur/noise.
If you need more help, just ask (feel free to post a picture). Good luck, sounds like a fun project. |
